FAIRMONT -- A celebration of life for Gloria F. Adams, age 82, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 1-4 p.m. on Nov. 28, 2022, at the Fairmont Eagle's Club. Burial will be held at a later date.
Gloria passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gloria was born June 10, 1940, to Peter and Mildred (Udy) Morgan in Blue Earth, Minn. She was united in marriage to Virgil Adams on Nov. 26, 1965, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Gloria worked at several places throughout her life, including Peerless Laundry, Only Deals, Fairmont Foods, Mallon's Egg Company and the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center. She retired in 2005. Gloria was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fairmont. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters: Paula (Lowell) Von Holdt of Milford, Iowa, and Nancy (Richard Waagen) Adams of Randall, Minn.; sister, Geri Peterson of Truman, Minn.; grandchildren: Kasey (Beau) Dandon of Milford, Iowa, Patrick Svoboda of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Kari (Chris) Lawrence of Lambertville, Mich., Brittany (Nick) Davis of Holdingford, Minn., Crystal (Warren) Davis of New Brighton, Minn., April (CJ) Von Holdt of Jackson, Minn., and LD (Samantha) Von Holdt of Everly, Iowa; great-grandchildren: Anthony, Michael, Haviaina, Skyler, Ariel, Matthew, LaRiah, Grayson, Melody, Kenydi, Vinny, Davis, Milloni, Amiya, and Ariana. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mildred Morgan; husband, Virgil Adams; great-grandson, Trevor Von Holdt; sisters, Marvel Johnson and Donna Hansgaard; and brothers-in-law, Lawrence Johnson, Don Hansgaard and Lowell Peterson. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
