FAIRMONT -- Private family graveside services for Elwood L. Wilcox, 77, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont.
Elwood passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-St. Mary's Campus in Rochester, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Elwood L. Wilcox was born Dec. 30, 1944, in Elmore, Minn., the son of Edward and Evelyn (Pirsig) Wilcox. He received his education attending school in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1963. Following his graduation, Elwood enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on Sept. 30, 1969. Elwood was united in marriage to Kathleen Hagen on Feb. 7, 1969, and were blessed with three children. Elwood worked at Tyco Plastics in Fairmont for 34 years. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kathy Wilcox; daughters, Lori (Bill) Bristow, and Jackie (Keith) Hieronimus; granddaughters, Ashlyn, Brigette, Callie, Sydney, Lucy, and Emily; brothers, Errol (Joyce) Wilcox, and Gene (Rose) Wilcox; sisters-in-law, Joyce Lundstrom, Sue (Dick) Orcutt, and Mick Rosenau; as well as many other extended family and friends. Elwood was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Evelyn Wilcox; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chris Jr. and Velma Hagen; and a son, Andy Wilcox.
