MOUNTAIN LAKE -- Kathleen Mary (Craig) Peterson ascended to heaven on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, Minn. A visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Bethany Lutheran Church near Bergen, Minn., with a celebration of life service to follow 11 a.m. at the church.
Kathleen was born May 28, 1943, at Fairmont Community Hospital, to Melvin and Caroline (Dorendorf) Craig. She graduated from Truman High School in 1961. Kathleen married Richard Peterson on Nov. 28, 1970, at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop, Minn. They joined Bethany Lutheran Church near Bergen and were active and devoted members of the church community. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Richard of Mountain Lake, Minn.; son, Chadrick (Natasha) of Stewartville, Minn.; daughter, Kimberly (Philip) Kamolz of Mercer Island, Wash.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Merle (Elna) of Truman, Minn.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Caroline Craig; brother, Robert; father-in-law, Nathaniel Peterson; mother-in-law, Hazel (Nielson) Peterson; other dear family members and friends.
