Cheryl Lynn Thompson was born Nov. 4, 1957, to Everett and Helen Anderson Thompson in Blue Earth, Minn. The family lived in Ledyard, Iowa, where she received her education. Cheryl grew up attending the Methodist church. On July 14, 1997, Cheryl married Ronald Lynn George in Las Vegas, Nev. They made their home in Fairmont, Minn. Cheryl worked her whole adult life in the Lutz Wing at the Fairmont hospital. She retired when the Lutz Wing closed in 2017. Cheryl began selling Avon products at the age of 20 and continued throughout her lifetime. It was a job she loved. Cheryl was an avid cat lover; and Juliet will miss her dearly. She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. Cheryl died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at the age of 64. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Ronald of Fairmont, Minn.; sisters, Pat (Randy) Rowan of Fairmont, and Nancy Engeman of Fairmont; brothers, Richard Thompson, Dennis (Tracy) Thompson, all of Ledyard; nieces and nephews, Kris Simpson, Michael (Kara) Rowan, Shawn (Heidi) Engeman, Travis, (Jessi) Engeman, Zac (Alicia) Thompson and Derek Thompson; great and great-great-nieces and nephews, Ana (Jack) Elliott, Isaac, Shantel and Jackson Engeman, Carter Rowan, Everett Thompson, and Rose Elliot. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, James; maternal and paternal grandparents; and sister-in-law, Ann Thompson.
