Ruth was born Oct. 24, 1931, to J. Fred and Doris (McDaniel) Timm, and grew up in Sherburn and Fairmont, graduating from FHS in 1949. In 1962 she married Raymond Sabatke and they made their home in Coon Rapids until 1988, before they moved to Florida. Over the years Ruth enjoyed performing skits, rollerskating, clowning, bowling, cooking, crafting and always music – band, orchestra, choirs. Ruth is survived by son, Kurt (Barb) of Coon Rapids; daughter-in-law, Mary of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Timm of Excelsior; half-siblings, Carole Wurden, Shirley Engberg, Dick Jackson, and Linda Smale; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Ray; sons, Charles and Bruce; and brother, Russell Timm. Memorials preferred to Heaven’s Table Food Shelf in Fairmont, Minn.
