Eldon W. Olson
TRIMONT — Public visitation for Eldon W. Olson, 81, of Trimont, Minn., will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Sept. 19, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont. There will be a public graveside service at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, rural Trimont, with military honors by Foster-Bernhardt American Legion Post 373 of Trimont, and Sherburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8261.
Olson died Friday afternoon, Sept. 9, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society – Sogge Home in Windom, Minn. Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont is in charge of arrangements.
Eldon Willie Olson was born Nov. 6, 1940, to Willie and Alice (Anderson) Olson at the Mountain Lake Hospital in Mountain Lake, Minn. He served in the U.S. Army serving in Duc Phu as an forward observer until his honorable discharge on May 15, 1967.
Survivors include: his wife, Nila Gene Olson of Trimont; daughters, Gretchen Olson of Trimont, Betsy Johnson of Misawa, Japan; son, Luke Olson of rural Odin, Minn.; German exchange daughter, Heike Seyfart of Bad Freienwalde, Germany; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two German exchange grandchildren; sister, Karen Stevens of Montevideo, Minn.; other relatives and friends.
