Dianne M. Ebeling

TRIMONT -- A celebration of life service for Dianne Ebeling, 82, of Trimont, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont, Minn., with Pastor John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lutheran Cemetery, rural Trimont, Minn.

Dianne was called to her eternal rest Saturday afternoon, Aug. 20, 2022, at Sanford Health Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Dianne's service will be recorded and placed on her obituary page. In lieu of flowers and other memorials, please consider memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church. Dianne Marlene Eichstadt was born Feb. 7, 1940, to Elmer and Esther (Winkelmann) Eichstadt on the family farm in Germantown Township in Cottonwood County. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Zion Evangelical Lutheran in Sanborn, Minn. She attended County School District 35 until 5th grade, attended Zion Evangelical Lutheran school until 7th grade, and graduated from Sanborn High School in 1958. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1962. She then moved to Sherburn, Minn. and taught home economics at the high school from 1962-1966. While she was teaching, she met John Ebeling. They were united in marriage on June 18, 1966. Dianne and John farmed and raised their two sons, Cory and Darin, in Cedar Township, Martin County. They joined Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont where she served on boards, taught Sunday School and weekday class, and was a member of the Friendship Club. In 2001, John and Dianne moved to Trimont. Dianne enjoyed traveling. After college she traveled Europe for a month with friends and then returned to Germany with John and her brother Merlin in the late '80's. She loved telling stories about family vacations in the Winnebago mini-home camper. She loved to visit with family and friends. She was passionate about her four grandchildren and attending their events. Football was her favorite and she often shared how she got to watch all her brothers, sons, and grandsons play. She rarely missed watching or listening to the MN Twins. Gardening (especially her strawberry bed) and trying new cooking recipes were something she enjoyed throughout her life. Dianne is survived by her two sons, Cory (Stacy) Ebeling of rural Trimont, Minn., and Darin (Wendy) Ebeling of Rosemount, Minn.; grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Ebeling of Trimont, Jack and Emma Ebeling of Rosemount; brothers, Melvin Eichstadt of Austin, Minn., Merlin (Sue) Eichstadt of Shakopee, and Arvin (Shirley) Eichstadt of Crescent, Iowa; brother-in-law, Keith (Linda) Ebeling of Trimont, Minn.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, John Ebeling; parents, Elmer and Esther Eichstadt; parents-in-law; Edward and Mildred Ebeling; sister-in-law, Irene Eichstadt; and many other relatives.
