Anna Mae Hutchins

BLUE EARTH -- Anna Mae Hutchins, age 100, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at Good Samaritan Home in Windom. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Tom Butler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth.

Anna Mae was born May 13, 1922, at 927 E. 7th St. in Blue Earth, Minn. Her parents were George and Marie (Dittert) Cook. Anna Mae attended school in Blue Earth and graduated in 1940. She went to Hamilton College in Mason City, Iowa. When WWII broke out, Anna Mae went to work at Bricelyn State Bank. She worked there for one year, and the went to work at Blue Earth First and Farmers National Bank. She was a private secretary to the president of the bank for eight years. Anna Mae was very active in church activities all her life. She also took care of her uncle, Bert, for 20 years. Anna Mae married Lawrence Feldick on Aug. 14, 1948. Lawrence died in January of 1968. Anna Mae then went on to marry Harold Hutchins on May 30, 1969. She had known Harold since the pair were just 3 and 4 years old. Harold passed away on Nov. 20, 2020. Anna Mae is survived by her two sons, Larry (Sandy), and George Feldick; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; niece, Wanda (Jim) Sawyer; brother-in-law, Duane (Beth) Feldick; daughter-in-law, Mary Hutchins. She was preceded in death by her husbands; four sisters; and Dennis Hutchins. Anna Mae will be missed. www.pattonfh.com
