FAIRMONT -- A memorial service for Beth Kitzerow, age 60, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to the service Aug. 26, at the church.
Beth passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 3, 2022, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a short battle with cancer. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mary Beth (Boesch) Kitzerow was born Aug. 27, 1961, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Calvin and Velma (Ehlert) Boesch. Beth was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and attended St. Paul Lutheran School through the eighth grade. She later graduated from Fairmont High School in 1979. Beth furthered her education at Bemidji State where she earned a business degree. On Nov. 17, 1984, Beth was united in marriage to Kevin Kitzerow at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. This union was blessed with two sons, Josh and Jesse. The couple made their home in Fairmont where Beth worked for many years at Poppe's Service Station. More recently she worked for many years at Hawkins Chevrolet in customer service and as a porter. She loved interacting with customers and the customers loved Beth and her ever-present smile. During her free time, Beth enjoyed reading and playing computer games as well as camping and fishing. She coached baseball and basketball when her boys were younger. Beth most loved the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and attending their events. Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 37 years, Kevin Kitzerow; sons, Josh Kitzerow, and Jesse (Belinda) Kitzerow; grandchildren, Jade, Abbygail, Jaymes, and Shelby; brother, Merle (Eileen) Boesch; sisters, Charmaine (Lindon) Gerndt, Arlene (Dwight) Korth, Carol (Larry) Moldenhauer, and Diane (Pat) Day; mother-in-law, Gwen Kitzerow; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
