She was born June 23, 1921, in Gresham, Neb., to Hugo and Louise Degner, and grew up near Hampton, Neb. On April 1, 1945, she and Wilbert “Jack” Klute were married in Lewisville, Minn., and they farmed there until retiring to Fairmont in 1980. In the fall of 2018, she moved to Covenant Glen in Frankenmuth, Mich. Her loves were faith, family, and music. Ruth is survived by her children, Thomas Klute of Minneapolis, Linda (Burrell) Kolonich of Lansing, Mich., Susan Klute of Mankato, and Lisa (Chuck) Anderson of Frankenmuth; grandchildren, Sarah (David) Parker, Katie (Kyle) Sanborn; great-grandchildren, Nicklas Parker, Emma Parker and Madelyn Sanborn; brother-in-law, Robert M. Nelson; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Klute and Cordelia Degner. Besides her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Hugo and Mrs. Louise Degner; siblings, Martin (Clara), Paul (Arlene), Albert (Dorothy), Waldemar (Anita), Kurt, Hans, and Lorenz (Jeanette) Degner, Margaret Nelson; brothers-in-law, LaVern (Doris), Edgar, Jerry (Welma), Elmer (Francis) Klute; many nieces and nephews.
