MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- A memorial service for Jared Holland, 35, of Mooresville, N.C., formerly of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at the Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont. Jared passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at his home in Mooresville, N.C.
Jared John Holland was born Oct. 5, 1986, in Fairmont, Minn., son of Dave and Kathy (Benning) Holland. Jared was raised and attended school in Fairmont. In 2007, he graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College's Automotive Technology Program. Following his graduation Jared relocated to North Carolina where he worked for Cyclone Trucking as a diesel mechanic. Jared was drawn to anything with a motor where he could put his mechanical skills to work. He spent countless hours in the shop, often with his family and friends by his side. He fell in love with dirt track racing and through this pastime, he met and quickly became friends with many who shared his passion. In 2013, Jared was blessed with the birth of his son, Tyler. Jared shared his love of mechanics with Tyler from a very young age and Tyler could often be found at the shop with Jared, or riding alongside his dad in the truck. In 2016 Jared married his wife, Holly, and Jared welcomed Holly's children, McKenzie, Sam, Mylee, and Sadie Lou into his life. Jared loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them on one of his favorite places, the water. He was most happy when he was on the boat fishing, or riding on one of his many refurbished jet-skis. His dream was to one day sail the Great Loop. Jared loved to laugh. He also loved to spread laughter to those around him through his sarcasm, jokes, crazy antics, or one of his many, many stories. Jared was deeply loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Jared's memory are his son, Tyler Holland; wife, Holly Holland and her children, McKenzie Martin, Sam Martin, Mylee Martin and Sadie Lou Hinson; parents, Dave and Kathy Holland; siblings, Curt (Becky) Holland, Brent (Shannon) Holland, Kaylene (Derek) Goerndt; nieces and nephews, Aerial (Trey) Lapke, Anthony Holland, Isabelle Holland, Aubrey Holland, Rylan McIntyre, Ali McIntyre, Everley Holland, Camryn Goerndt, and Mya Goerndt; grandmother, Darlene Benning; many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and a large circle of friends. Jared was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marv and Ella Jean Holland, and Albert Benning.
