WELCOME -- A private family graveside service for Kristine "Kris" R. Redenius, 55, of Welcome, Minn., will be at St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery, Sherburn, Minn., with Father Jonathon Fasnacht officiating.

Kristine Renae (Nowak) Redenius was born March 10, 1967, to Earl Dean and Judith Anne (Eisenmenger) Nowak at the Fairmont Community Hospital. She grew up on the family farm and attended Sherburn Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1985. In 1986 she married Mark Redenius and they moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. and then to Mankato, Minn., while they both pursued higher education. Afterwards, they moved to rural Welcome, Minn. to join the Redenius farming operation and built a home south of Welcome. In 1994 their only child was born, a daughter. Kris and Mark later divorced. Kris worked in many different careers while living in her home in Welcome. She is survived by her daughter, Mia Redenius (formerly Hailey) of Sioux Falls, S.D. Also surviving are her parents, Earl and Judy Nowak of Sherburn, Minn.; her sister, Lisa (Paul) Bettin and their sons, Brandon and Kevin and families; her other nephews, Joshua, Steven, and Nathan Nowak; many other family and friends.
Kris was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; as well as her brother, Daniel Nowak.
