FAIRMONT -- A funeral service for Bruce A. Eversman, age 69, of Fairmont, Minn. will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park, Fairmont. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Bruce passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at Methodist Hospital - Mayo Clinic Health System in Rochester, Minn., surrounded by family after relapsing from cancer. Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bruce Allen Eversman was born Dec. 23, 1952, to Arnold and Redella (Anders) Eversman in Fairmont, Minn. He graduated from Ceylon High School with the class of 1971. After graduating, Bruce attended Jackson Vo-Tech for telephone communications. He then moved to Chicago, Ill. where he worked for several years before returning to Fairmont. On Aug. 28, 1992, Bruce was united in marriage to Michelle Poulson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. This marriage was blessed with two children, Courtney and Josh along with Michelle's son, Ryan. Bruce worked for VanDeRiet Construction and most recently for the City of Fairmont on the dredge and later in the water department until retiring in 2017. Bruce also helped his brothers with field work through the years.
Bruce was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. He loved sports and was an ultimate fan of the Boston Celtics. Bruce will be remembered for his love of telling stories and chatting with anyone and everyone. He loved to spoil his dog Rocko, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Della and Ridley. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Michelle Eversman of Fairmont; daughter, Courtney (Casey) Schoellerman of Fairmont; son, Josh (Hannah) Eversman of Minneapolis; stepson, Ryan Gerald (Elizabeth) Nelson of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Della and Ridley Schoellerman of Fairmont; brothers, Jon (DeAnn) Eversman, and Jeff (Deb) Eversman both of Fairmont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jo Eversman of St. Peter, Jerry (Deb) Clark of Mason City, Iowa, Randy Poulson of Granada, Keith (Jodi) Poulson of Fairmont, Kim Bulfer of Fairmont; mother-in-law, Evelyn Poulson; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Redella Eversman; sister, Jackie Clark; brother, Brian Eversman; infant twin siblings; father-in-law, Duane Poulson; and brother-in-law, Michael Poulson. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
