ST. JAMES -- A funeral service for Fern Louise Branstad, 91, of St. James, Minn., will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, at First Lutheran Church in St. James. The service will be livestreamed at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on the First Lutheran Church Facebook page.
Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, rural St. James, with a reception to follow at the church.
Branstad died Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society-Pleasant View in St. James. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in St. James.
Fern Louise Juhl was born July 24, 1930, in Gettysburg, S.D., to Peter and Ethel Juhl.
Survivors include: her children, Harley Branstad of LaSalle, Minn., Jim Branstad of St. James, Gloria Voth of New Ulm, Julie Schmidt of St. James; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
