Gerald ‘Waldo’ D. Brummond

TRUMAN -- Gerald "Waldo" Dean Brummond passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 8, 2022. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Antrim. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, July 14. Burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Antrim.

Gerald was born May 21, 1965, in Madelia, Minn., to Larry and Elaine (Zinke) Brummond. He attended Truman High School, graduating in 1983. Waldo worked in the farming industry all of his life. He worked on hog farms and did field work for several local farmers over his lifetime, including work for Kent Unke for over 26 years. Waldo was always on-the-go, very helpful, and easy to talk to. He enjoyed the outdoors, trap shooting, and working in the tractor. He also had a passion for flying drones. Waldo also enjoyed riding motorcycle, and in his younger years, he liked to water ski and hunt for deer. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Larry and Elaine of Truman; siblings, Laris Brummond, Yolonda (Troy) Geistfeld, and Tony (Gini) Brummond, all of rural Truman; nieces and nephews, Haley (Garrett) Schock, Samuel (Ciera) Geistfeld, Zachary (Kayla Cremers) Brummond, Hanna Geistfeld, Alexis Brummond and Harley Geistfeld; great-nieces and nephews, Hattie and Higgins Schock, and Granger Geistfeld; and many friends.
