Beverly Anna (Kiefer) Fenske was born Sept. 5, 1939, to Leo and Myrtle (Rindfleisch) Kiefer in Morris, Minn. She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1958. As a young girl, she enjoyed taking care of the animals on the farm and loved her black and white cow named Dolly. On May 22, 1960, Bev was united in marriage to Richard Fenske in Freedhem, Minn. After their marriage, they made their home in Fairmont, Minn. where they resided for the last 57 years and enjoyed being active in the community. Bev was a dedicated caretaker and homemaker who led with kindness, patience, laughter and was quick to offer cuddles to any child who crawled in her lap. Her radiating love was apparent as she provided care and comfort to her young daughter as she fought leukemia. Bev was an active member of The Arc and the Pacer Center which are advocacy organizations dedicated to improving access to services for people with mental and physical disabilities. Bev’s family was the light of her life. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She cherished spending time with them, always had time to listen, and loved attending their activities such as football games and dance recitals. Bev enjoyed the holidays and upholding family traditions. Bev was a longtime member of Fairmont United Methodist Church and was involved in the Wives, Husbands and Others (WHO) Club and multiple small groups and enjoyed volunteering in the church nursery. She enjoyed finding treasures at auctions, collecting recipes for family meals, and had a green thumb when it came to flower gardening. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Bruce Fenske of Fairmont, Minn., Jeanne Fenske of Henderson, Minn., Denise (Dale) Baruth of Sherburn, Minn., and Curtis Fenske of Fairmont, Minn.; grandchildren, Jessica George, Ryan Chaussee (Dakota), Lance Brolsma (Nicole), Alexis Brolsma (Kevin Bruening), Alex Baruth (Ally) and Caleb Baruth (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Everett Brolsma, Makena Baruth, Jax Baruth and Ayla Baruth; brothers, Kenny Kiefer of Redondo Beach, Calif., and LaVern Kiefer of Tampa, Fla.; special niece, Linda Taylor (Tom); and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Myrtle Kiefer; husband, Richard Fenske; daughter, Cindy Fenske; sisters, Shirley Peterson and Delores Kiefer; and special aunt, Lillian Touchette. The family would like to send a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center for taking such good care of Beverly. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
