TRUMAN -- A memorial visitation for Roger D. Rich Sr., 83, of Truman, Minn., will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn.
Rich passed away Saturday morning, May 28, 2022, at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Roger Duane Rich Sr. was born July 6, 1938, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Rollo and Vera (Spencer) Rich. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at the U.S. Naval Station in Mayport, Fla., until earning his honorable discharge on Aug. 19, 1962.
Survivors include: his children, Roger Rich Jr., Belinda Miller, Dennis Rich, Steven Rich, William "Bill" Rich, and Kevin Rich; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Johnson, Nancy Fetters, and Yvonne Wiegert; brother, Ross Rich; other relatives and friends.
