Ficken passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Friendship Court Assisted Living in Blue Earth, with her loving family by her side. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth is in charge of arrangements.

Illa was born in rural New Richland, Minn., to Leonard and Frieda (Kranz) Casper.

Survivors include: her children: Randy of Blue Earth, Julie Pankake of Mankato; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five special grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
