George R. Ellis
TRIMONT — A celebration of life service for George R. Ellis, 86, of Trimont, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. Burial will be in Elm Creek Cemetery, rural Trimont, with military honors by the Foster-Bernhardt American Legion Post 373 of Trimont, Thomas P. Saxton American Legion Post 356 and the Sherburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8261.
Ellis died Monday morning, June 6, 2022, at Meeker Manor in Litchfield, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont is in charge of arrangements.
George Ray Ellis was born Nov. 9, 1935, in Tyrona, Ark., to George and Lucille Ellis. He served in the U.S. Air Force until his honorable discharge in October of 1957.
Survivors include: his daughter, Sharon Cola of Willmar, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Ellis of Welcome, Minn.; two grandchildren; two step-grandsons; one step-great-granddaughter; brothers and sisters, Mary, Helen and Chuck, Robert and Joan, and Janice; other relatives and friends.
