Deb passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at her home near Ceylon. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Debra Joan (Schwager) Leiding was born Sept. 23, 1953, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Chester and Doris (Weisman) Schwager. Deb worked for many years at 3M as a design trainer and retired in January of 2019. On April 9, 1999, Deb was united in marriage to David Leiding in Fairmont, Minn. Together, the couple made their home in Ceylon. Deb liked to keep things simple and enjoyed the quietness of living in the country. She treasured spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchild, Bennett. Deb loved to travel and had been looking forward to making memories with David in their retirement. She loved the beauty of flowers and enjoyed rides in the countryside seeing the various wildflowers. Deb also enjoyed working on her computer and could often be found at home playing a game or working on something on her computer. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, David Leiding; son, Kyle Salsbury; daughter, Kassy Menssen and her husband, Russ; grandchildren, Gage and special friend, Mikyla, Marriah, Olive and Melanie; great-grandchild, Bennett; brothers, Bruce Schwager and his wife, Nancy, Dave Schwager and his wife, DeeDee, and Scott Schwager; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
