Dorothy Ann (Wolff) Dunker was born May 22, 1923, in Kimball Township, Jackson County, Minn., to Herman and Anna (Schlager) Wolff. She was baptized on April 4, 1937, at Methodist Episcopal Church in Lakefield, Minn., and attended District 94 country school in Kimball Township. On Dec. 17, 1941, she was united in marriage to Arnold Dunker at the Methodist parsonage in Lakefield. She became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha, Minn. on Jan. 23, 1949. After marriage, they resided and farmed in Enterprise Township from 1941 to 1999, then they moved to Jackson. On Dec. 1, 2011, Dorothy and Arnold moved to Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn. Dorothy loved going shopping for clothes and home decor. She especially loved decorating at Christmas. After she moved to Temperance Ridge, working on puzzles and afternoon coffee with other residents became favorite past times. Dorothy is survived by her son, Doug and his wife, Sue of Sherburn; two grandchildren, Darcie (Mark) Christensen of Winnebago, Minn., and Angela (Bryan) Romo of Key West, Fla.; and two great- grandchildren, Brenden (Courtney) Christensen, and Garrett Christensen. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Irene Callender; and brother-in-law, Dean Callender.
