Barbara A. Schmidt

FAIRMONT– A memorial service for Barbara A. Schmidt, 82, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 10:30 a.m. on June 11, at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Fairmont. Burial will be held at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, Ill.

Schmidt passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on June 11, at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Barbara Ann (Johnson) Schmidt was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., to Leopold N. and Agnes A.J. (Anderson) Johnson.

Survivors include: her son, Thom Peterson of Truman, Minn.; stepsons, David Schmidt of Sheridan, Ill., Tom Schmidt of Millbrook, Ill., and George Schmidt of Aurora, Ill.; five step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
