Sandberg died peacefully Wednesday morning, May 25, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society-Pleasant View in James, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church in St. James. Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont is in charge of arrangements.

Viola Jean Munsterman was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Watonwan County, Minn., to Clarence and Helen (Hopman) Munsterman.

Survivors include: her son, Mark Sandberg of St. James; daughters, Paula Lubale of Bismarck, N.D., and Karen Gosdin of St. Paul, Minn.; four grandchildren; three great-grandsons; brothers-in-law, Arden Sandberg of rural Butterfield, and Duane Sandberg of Graettinger, Iowa; many other relatives and friends.
