Albert was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Blue Earth, Minn., to Michael and Hattie (Gottberg) Schobert. He attended Blue Earth High School. Albert enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944, and served during WWII. He retired from active duty in 1946 and returned home to Blue Earth and worked as a carpenter. Albert was a character, with a fantastic smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He was simple, a great listener, and never judgmental. He was an all-around great guy.

Albert is survived by sister-in-law, Donna Schobert of Fairmont; niece and caregiver, Deb (Fred) Redman of Fairmont; and several more nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Harry Schobert; and his sisters, Elsie, Marie, Laura, Pearl, Margaret, Florene, Audrey, and Geraldine. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to the Blue Earth American Legion, Wells VFW, and UHD Hospice.
