Dennis was born March 28, 1942, to Eldred Kasper and Elsie Albertina (Nelson) Meyer in Fairmont, Minn. He graduated from Fairmont High School in 1960, then attended Mankato State University, graduating in 1964. Shortly after graduation, Dennis entered the military and served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1968. Upon returning from his military service, he met the love of his life, Judith A. Webb, in Fairmont when she came home for a weekend visit. On July 27, 1969, Dennis and Judy were united in marriage at the United Methodist Church in Fairmont. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Matthew and Deborah. Dennis and Judy made their home in Fairmont where Dennis owned Paramount Ceramics and Craf-T Products. He also worked closely with his brother, Gerald Meyer, in a business partnership for many years. After a successful career, he retired in 2009. Dennis spent his free time playing tennis and golf with many good friends and family. He also loved playing Bridge, and organized a couples marathon bridge club in Fairmont for over 25 years and played in the Social Bridge Club in Arizona. Most of all, Dennis loved to dance, especially with Judy, but also with any partner who could keep up with him. His family knows this is how many will remember him. In his retirement, Dennis enjoyed his winters with Judy in Arizona, traveling, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He volunteered with the Fairmont Area Chapter of Let’s Go Fishing, and also took up new hobbies like flower gardening, yoga classes, and walking. He remained very active and never let his Parkinson’s and Lewy Body diagnosis slow him down. He appreciated all of his family and friends who kept him busy and feeling young. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judith A. (Webb) Meyer; son, Matthew H. (Renata) Meyer; daughter, Deborah A. (Michael) Greiveldinger; three grandchildren, Annabel Greiveldinger, Ethan Greiveldinger and Sebastian Meyer; brother, Gerald (Joy) Meyer; sister-in-law, Jennifer Goedtel (Webb); a niece and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldred and Elsie Meyer; brother, Arlyn Meyer; and brothers-in-law, John Webb and Gary Goedtel. Memorials are preferred to the Martin County Historical Society, Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont or the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
