JoAnn Rebecca Berg was born Aug. 26, 1932, to Kenneth and Lola (McFarlen) Kazebier in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Fairmont High School where she lettered in tumbling, trampoline, choir, tennis and junior G.A.A. On Nov. 22, 1952, JoAnn was united in marriage to Richard Berg at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. JoAnn worked at Gambles, and Farmer Seed and Nursery, but spent most of her time at home as a homemaker. JoAnn was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont and was involved with St. John Vianney Ladies CCW and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling with Richard around the United States, Mexico and Ireland. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Teresa Berg of Fairmont, Katherine Klug of Fairmont, Robert (Randee) Berg of Mountain Lake, and Stacie (Randy) Berg-Nelson of Estherville, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
