Smith passed away peacefully Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Mayo Clinic Health System-Methodist Hospital Campus in Rochester, Minn., surrounded by his family. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
