Laabs passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Heartland Senior Living in Truman, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Julia Mae Laabs was born Nov. 17, 1941, in Fergus Falls, Minn., to Lyle and Marian (Thompson) Beamish.

Survivors include: her husband, Ron Laabs; daughter, Sharlene Storm; stepchildren, Tanya Johnson and Kenric Laabs; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Beamish; sisters, Mary Thompson and Katie Kothe; other relatives and friends.
