Antoinette “Sissy” Louise Wayman was born Oct. 9, 1960, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Morris and Edna (Divis) Wayman. As an infant, Sissy moved with her family to Dixon, Neb., where she was baptized in November of 1962. She received her education attending school in Dixon and graduated from Dixon High School with the class of 1980. Sissy was united in marriage to Gerald Grashorn in Omaha, Neb. Together, the couple made their home in Omaha where she worked in a factory. Following the couples divorce, Sissy moved to South Minneapolis where she met and later married Steve Dillon. Sissy then managed a gas station and car wash. The couple later divorced, and Sissy moved to the Rush City and Pine City area where she worked as a daycare provider until her health prevented her from doing so. Sissy loved life and treasured spending time with friends, family, and especially her grandchildren. On Feb. 14, 2022, Sissy was chosen as the Valentine Day Queen at Heartland Senior Living in Truman and was looking forward to riding the float in the Truman town parade. She loved shopping, playing bingo and cards, rolling dice, watching scary movies, and working on all kinds of crafts. Sissy was an avid bowler and enjoyed quiet time spent coloring. She was a diehard Elvis Presley fan and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind to friends and family so that people knew exactly how she felt and what her opinion was. Left to cherish her memory is her special friend, Merry of Texas; children, Mike Grashorn and his wife, Deanna of Fairmont, Minn., and daughter, Wendy Grashorn and her husband, Jesse of Fairmont; three stepchildren, Candi of Texas, Ryan and his wife, Angela of Minneapolis, Minn., and Bill and his wife, Alexis of Texas; 23 grandchildren, Jordan, Jayden, Shelby, Bentley, Maddison, Harley, Jackson, David, Abbigale, Elizabeth, Marrisa, Donaven, Mariah, Chelse, Devin, Alex, Christen, Braiden, Hallie, Kaylana, Jordan, Ambreanna, and Danalyn; two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Adalynn; three sisters, Fern Wayman of Fairmont, Flossie Fryer and her husband, Jerry of Fairmont, and Edith and her husband, Dave of Fairmont; three brothers, Ollie Wayman and his wife, Kathy of Fairmont, Allen Wayman of Fairmont, and Terry Wayman and his wife, Pam of Hinkley, Minn.; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Sissy was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Edna Wayman; maternal and paternal grandparents; three brothers, Jimmy, Morris, and Dewayne; four sisters, Sharron, Kelly, Donna, and Gloria; one grandson, Austin; 13 aunts and uncles; numerous cousins and friends. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Heartland Senior Living in Truman for the care and compassion they showed Sissy and her family. www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
