Bargfrede passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 1, 2022, at CentraCare in Sauk Centre Care Center, Sauk Centre, Minn. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Salem Lutheran Church in Jackson, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church in Jackson. Kramer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Esther Grace Johnson was born Aug. 29, 1939, near Triumph in Martin County, Minn., to Glen and Pearl (Schribner) Johnson.

Survivors include: her son, Craig Bargfrede of Ankeny, Iowa; daughters, Rhonda DeBoer of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Kristie Heinze of Melrose, Minn.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Maxine Mullivan of Rapid City, S.D.; other relatives and friends.
