Lupe was born Sept. 15, 1957, in Lubbock, Texas, to Santiago Hernandez and Rose Marie (Ybarra) Gonzales. She graduated from Ceylon High School in 1978. Throughout her life she helped on the farm, managed rental properties, and managed her husband. She was married to Scott Duane Stromberg on May 21, 1993. Together, the couple joined their families, and shared two children, Josie and Chris. Lupe was feisty and energetic. She loved the outdoors and took great pride and care of her family farm with her husband. She was a hard worker and thoroughly enjoyed her farm chores. She loved anytime she spent outside and had a knack for gardening. She also enjoyed camping. Above all else, Lupe loved her family. She would do anything for her grandkids. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Scott; daughter, Josie Petersen (Dale Dailey); son, Chris Stromberg (Meghan); grandchildren, Austin, Sydney (Branden), Clayton (Tiara), Karrah, Amber (Dale), Jared, Tyson, Kaitlyn, Zaylen, and Walker; great-grandchildren, Brayleigh, Liam, and Liberty; and her siblings, Jimmy (Juanita) Gonzales, Ernie Gonzales, Rosa (Martin) Torrez, Manuel Gonzales, Juanita (Michael) Ramirez, Fernando (Brenda) Gonzales, and Judy (Scott) Senholtz. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; sister, Josie; and brother, Richard.
