Stella Ulicni

BLUE EARTH — Stella Ulicni fell asleep in death Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at St. Luke’s Care Center in Blue Earth, at 100 years of age.

A Zoom memorial will be held 3 p.m. on Dec. 18, 2021.

From the time she was born on Feb. 2, 1921, in St. Louis, Mo., her parents, Virgil Bryan and Lillie Barsotti, taught her to love Jehovah, the Creator of everything, and to follow the example of Jesus as a Christian. She joined her parents in missionary work throughout rural areas of the United States during The Depression. She married

Joseph Ulicni on May 2, 1941, and together they taught the good news of the Kingdom throughout their married life. After being widowed, Stella experienced the truth of Psalms 92:14,15, “Even during gray-headedness they will still be thriving, they will

remain vigorous and fresh, declaring that Jehovah is upright. He is my Rock.” Stella was known for wearing stylish hats when the occasion was right. By extension, she figuratively wore many ‘hats’ in her lifetime. She worked alongside her husband in their construction business and cooked for thousands of people, both in her home and at large conventions. She was a delegate to international conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Europe and Central America. She could sew a wedding dress, wallpaper a house, quilt a special gift or help others make a friendship quilt for a bride,

and catch a fish and share the bounty. Her heart and home was open to anyone who needed her, including traveling ministers. She was a loyal caregiver for her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, parents, sisters, and friends. Her support and reliability made her special. If you graduated, got married, had a baby shower, were sick or grieving, she was there. That is her legacy and the lifestyle she will resume after this brief pause. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Patricia and

Gloria; brother-in-law, Norris; nephews, Scott, Gordan, Roger; niece, Karen; and great-nephew, Craig. She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Quinn) Harbo; her son, David Ulicni; great-niece, Jessica (Randy) Smith; three grandchildren, Nick (Dinah) Harbo, Reid

(Veronica) Harbo, Allison (Jake) Newstrom; two great-grandchildren,

Joshua and Sophia Harbo; nieces, Susan and Carol Lee; nephews, Herb, Don, Phill, and Robert; along with many great-nephews and nieces. www.zahariafamilyfuneral.com
