Mark Alan Whisney
JACKSON — Mark Alan Whisney, son of Laurence and Darlene (Frodermann) Whisney, was born Monday, April 10, 1961, in Lakefield, Minn. He attended and graduated from Jackson High School in 1979. Mark started working at Ag-Chem/AGCO in 1984, as a material shipping handler and had 37 years of service to the company. In 2019 he purchased his lawn mowing business from Del’s Lawn Service and had plans to continue his business after retirement. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Lynn Hunt on May 8, 2004. This union was dissolved in 2007. Mark was fortunate to gain a stepson, Jacob Redinius, from the marriage. On July 10, 1989, he purchased his farmhouse and spent many hours turning it into his forever home. Mark entered into his eternal rest at his home on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, at the age of 60 years, 5 months and 13 days. Mark was a gentleman with many hobbies, and rarely sat still. He was a fisherman, and an avid hunter, especially enjoying bowhunting with his family. He also had many adventures with his lifelong friend Curt Egeland. Mark was quite passionate about the Minnesota sports teams, rarely missing a game. In his down time, he liked to sit on his deck and bird watch and spent his winters feeding and watching deer from his living room. Mark had a smile that was contagious, and a very kind heart. He was always there to lend a hand to family and friends in need. Mark touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all that were fortunate to be a part of his life.
Mark is survived by his mother Darlene; brothers Gary (Angie) Whisney, Don (Deb) Whisney, Duane (Wendy) Whisney, and Kevin (Patty) Whisney; stepson Jacob, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and great friends.
Mark is preceded in death by his father Laurence, and his grandparents. Blessed be the memory of Mark Alan Whisney.
