Ruth (Brummond) Roehrs

NEW BERLIN, Wis. — Ruth Roehrs, 66, passed away Sept. 7, 2021, at her home in New Berlin Wis. after a valiant battle with uterine cancer. A memorial service honoring her life and legacy was held at Elmbrook Church in Brookfield Wisconsin on Friday September 10, 2021.

Ruth was born Jan. 31, 1955 to Bill (DW) and Joyce Brummond in Fairmont Minnesota. She attended school in Truman and graduated from Truman High School in 1973. Ruth was united in marriage to Bill Roehrs in 1994 and they had two daughters, Bridget and Megan. She was employed at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for 40 years as an ultrasound technician and provided medical care to countless children in need. She attended Elmbrook Church for many years and was involved in bible studies, volunteering at the church, and supported the youth ministry with her exceptional baking skills.

Ruth leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, kindness and service. She was well known for her generous and sacrificial spirit and would do almost anything for those she loved. She maintained a strong foundation of faith in God even through the trials of her battle with cancer. She was known as an excellent baker and made delicious treats for those she loved. She set a beautiful example of how to love others like Christ loves us.

Survivors include her husband Bill, daughters Bridget (Graham), Megan (Blake), father Bill (DW) Brummond of Truman, Brother Wayne Brummond (Marlys) of Fairmont, sister Elaine (Ramesh) Krishnan of Eden Utah and many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations can be made online to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in honor of Ruth’s Friend Pam.
