Clarilynne Brown-Salai

WILDWOOD, Fla. — In loving memory of Clarilynne Brown-Salai of Wildwood, Fla., who entered into the presence of God on Wednesday July 21, 2021. Clarilynne was born Jan. 18, 1929, in Mannington, W. Va., the only daughter of George and Lexie Heflin. By profession she worked in the medical field, although her true passion and life’s work was devoted to being a loving wife and mother. Clarilynne had a deep love for all people and as a result was referred to as mom by many. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil F. Brown; special companion, Charles Salai, and children, Virginia Lee Daugherty, John F. Brown and Mary Lou Muth. She is survived by her seven adoring children, Sharon Morgan and her husband Bob, Patrick Brown and his wife Tammy, Michael Brown and his wife Brenda, Michelle Bonsall and her husband Rob, Barbara Tulanowski and her husband Tom, James Brown, Virgil Brown Jr. and his wife Patricia; as well as several stepchildren from her companion Charles Salai’s first marriage. Clarilynne lovingly doted on five generations of family. Her life will be celebrated during a private ceremony of internment to be held 11 a.m. July 31, at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Eustis, Fla. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
