A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago with Pastor Robert Bailey officiating. A time for visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago.

Doug was born Oct. 17, 1958, in Fairmont, Minn., to Sylvan and Marian (Jahnke) Meyer. He attended Winnebago High School and graduated in 1977. He became a long-time truck driver and farmer in rural Winnebago. In 2001, he was blessed with his son, Stewart. He loved anything and everything involving his son, ballgames, four wheeling, fishing, trucking, and working side by side with him on their family farm. Oscar is survived by his son, Stewart of Winnebago; his mother, Marian of Winnebago; sisters, Tamara (Terry) Widmann of Brooklyn Park, and Karen (Mike) Lloyd of Winnebago. He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvan Meyer; paternal grandparents, Lorenz and Wilma Meyer; and maternal grandparents, Leroy and Marie Jahnke. www.spencerowen.com
