After he retired, he rediscovered his love of the game of golf which gave him much happiness and the joy of time spent with friends on the golf course. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret; his sisters, Margaret and Nylene; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Monica and Cliff Post, Marvis and Louis Maday, Rose Ann and Gus Ewald, and Charles Schmit.
