Anna Mae Erichsrud

BLUE EARTH — Anna Mae (Ristau) Erichsrud, age 81, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, Minn. A private family celebration of life will be held.

Anna Mae was born April 17, 1939, in Easton, Minn., to George and Mabel (Schewe) Moehring. She graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Theodore Ristau on April 12, 1958. Together they were blessed with four children, raising their family on a farm southwest of Blue Earth, and enjoyed 32 years of marriage before Ted’s death in November 1990. She and Alan Erichsrud were united in marriage on Jan. 26, 1995. Together they enjoyed horse racing, rodeos and traveling to visit friends and family. Alan died in 2011. Anna Mae was a long-time member of the legion auxiliary and was president for a term. She was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church serving on numerous committees over the years and was also a part of the Lutheran Women Missionary League. When she wasn’t helping on the farm and tending to the children, she worked seasonally for Green Giant as a truck router for over 30 years. She cherished her many lifelong friendships and treasured spending time and keeping in touch with all them. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens, canning, reading, sewing and cooking/baking for her family. She was famous for her scotcheroos which were treasured and devoured by her children and grandchildren. Left to hold such dear memories close to their hearts are her children: Bruce (Sherry) Ristau of Davenport, Iowa, Mark (Sharon) Ristau of Blue Earth, Minn., Susan (Paul) Honken of Webster, Minn., Karen (Gary) Mau of Winnebago, Minn.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; Alan’s children, Scott (Susan) Erichsrud, Lisa (Dirk) Esser, and Lynda (Kelly) Stover; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, George (Sally) Moehring of Hutchinson, Minn.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ristau of Blue Earth; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in the death by her husbands; parents; brother, Harold Moehring and his wife (Mary); and brother-in-law, Arlin Ristau. www.pattonfh.com
