Shirley Ann Bottin
MOUNTAIN LAKE — A celebration of life service for Shirley Ann Bottin, 65, of rural Mountain Lake, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in St. James. Burial will be in St. Matthew’s Cemetery, rural Butterfield, Minn. A recording of Shirley’s service will be posted on St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Facebook page by Friday, Dec. 18.
Bottin died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 10, 2020, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn. Visitation will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the number of guests for the visitation in the funeral home at any given time will be limited. The public is also encouraged to practice social distancing throughout the visitation and service and to wear a mask. Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont is in charge of arrangements.
Shirley Ann Smit was born Nov. 29, 1955, in Mountain Lake, Minn., to William and Anna (Derksen) Smit.
Survivors include: her husband of 47 years, Kevin Bottin of rural Mountain Lake; her children, Shayne Bottin of rural Odin, Brandee Jepsen of rural Butterfield, and Jeremy Bottin of rural Butterfield; six grandchildren; brothers, Stanley Smit of Madelia, Steve Smit of Squaw Lake, Minn., Merle Smit of Butterfield; sisters, Marlene Woods of Fairfax, Minn., and Irma Korthouse of Windom.
