Tim passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 11, 2020, at his home in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Timothy Peter Abbas was born Aug. 21, 1958, in Fairmont, Minn., to Peter and Phyllis (Wehrenberg) Abbas. He graduated from Fairmont High School with the class of 1976. On Aug. 13, 1983, Tim was united in marriage to Janet Meyer at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Tim and Jan were blessed with two children, Tyler and Caitlin. Over the years, Tim worked for Centel Telephone Co., Krueger Realty, Deluxe Vending, Hermel Vending and most recently at Avery Weigh-Tronix. Tim was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He had a love of the outdoors and could be found hunting, fishing, camping or canoeing. He also enjoyed bowling and watching “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jan (Meyer) Abbas; daughter, Caitlin (Blake Bordson) Abbas; son, Tyler (Jennifer) Abbas; grandchildren, Myles, Jude, Liam and Teagan; sisters, Kathleen (Ron) Rassett, Marsha (Larry) Kopp, Debra Conn, and Rebecca (Ray) Buckmeier; father and mother-in-law, John and Doris Meyer; sisters-in-laws, Vicki (Mike) Grundy, Cynthia (Mark) Bowell, Teresa Meyer, Laura Beth (Kyrtus) Patterson; brother-in-law, Max Meyer; and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Phyllis Abbas; sister, Laraine (Mick) Kielblock and their son, Richard; brothers-in-law, Bill Conn and Jack Coash.
