E. Jane (Golly) Olson was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Blue Earth, Minn., the daughter of Walter and Myrtle (Galbreath) Golly. She graduated class valedictorian from Granada High School and attended Mankato Commercial College where she received her business degree. On Jan. 10, 1946, Jane was united in marriage to Ralph J. Olson. Together, they made their home in rural Blue Earth, and raised five children. She had numerous jobs in the Blue Earth area. She also loved to help her husband farm and sell Pioneer seed. Ralph passed away in July of 1988. She was happiest on a tractor, riding her lawn mower and taking care of her dogs and horses through the years. She loved watching her bird feeders out her window while nestled in her chair with a magazine, newspaper or puzzle book with a cup of coffee. She also spent many hours sewing special items for her family. Jane cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and looked forward to visits from them. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bill (Sharon), Laura (Greg), Dwight (Lori), and Perry (Peggy); grandchildren, Max (Steph), Dustin (Barb), Jason (Robyn), Darcy (Matt), Brandi (Jeremy), Travis (Danielle), Ciarra and Connor; great-grandchildren, Brock, Alexis, Shalin, Calen, Kohl, Breckin, Jacob, Lily, Isabella, Reese and Rylee Jane; great-great-grandchildren, Ophelia and Otto; sister, Alberta Greimann; as well as many other extended family and friends. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; daughter, Joanne; and brother, Maynard.
