FAIRMONT — Private family services for Donald C. Justice, age 87, of Fairmont, Minn., are being held at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont, along with the ashes of his loving wife, Glorian. Military honors will be provided by Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222.

Donald passed away Wednesday evening, July 29, 2020, at Goldfinch Memory Care in Fairmont, surrounded by family.

Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donald Charles Justice was born Sept. 18, 1932, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the son of Harold and Myrtle Justice. Don grew up on the family farm near Ringsted, where he helped with the farming operation. He attended Ringsted High School, where he graduated on May 18, 1950.

Don was united in marriage to Glorian (Ries) on April 2, 1952, in San Diego, Calif., while he served in the U.S. Navy. After Don’s discharge from the Navy, they lived in Armstrong and then moved to Fairmont in 1956. He worked for many years at Railway Motors, retiring in 1994.

Don enjoyed spending time with family and loved music of all kinds. Most recently, he found joy playing his harmonica. While living on the lake for many years, he loved fishing, pontoon rides with the family and playing cards. In his retirement, he became a very talented wood carver. He was a member of woodcarving clubs in Blue Earth and Ceylon, Minn.

Don and Glorian enjoyed traveling and adventured on a couple big motorcycle and motor home trips throughout the United States.

Those who will cherish his memory include: his three children, Gene Justice and his wife, JoDell, of Fairmont; Janet Morrison and her husband, David, of Tigard, Ore., Julie Steuber and her husband, Lenny, of Fairmont; five grandchildren, Angela Justice, Daniel Justice and his daughter, Sarah, Donny Morrison, Jason Steuber and his wife, Mindy, and their children, Caleb and Carter Lloyd, and Avery, Jacqueline Nowicki and her husband, Bryan, and their children, Addison, Cecilia, and Noah; sisters and brothers, JoAnn Heerdt, Irma Ostedgaard, Jim and Juanita Justice, Sandra and Lauren Ettesvold, Raymond and Teal Justice, Philip and Linda Justice; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Glorian; parents, Harold and Myrtle Justice; one sister, Nancy; brother-in-law, Bob Bach, their son, Barry Bach; niece, Christina Justice; brother-in-law, Gene (Spike) Ostedgaard; mother and father-in-law, Louis and Alvera Ries; brother and sister-in-law, LaVern and Shirley Ries.

He’ll be missed by all who knew and loved him. Blessed be the memory of Donald Justice.
