Nancy Lee (Dickinson) Frederickson

ST. CLOUD — Nancy Lee (Dickinson) Frederickson passed into eternal life Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at Carefree Living in St. Cloud, Minn., at the age of 82. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1851 Marie Lane in Mankato, Minn. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m., and lunch will be served following the service until 6 p.m.

Nancy Lee Dickinson was born June 11, 1937, in Fairmont, Minn., to Elliot and Helen (Erickson) Dickinson. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, graduated from Sherburn High School in 1955, where she was crowned the homecoming queen of her class, and attended Glenwood Hills School of Practical Nursing in Golden Valley, Minn.

She married Jan Lee Frederickson on July 6, 1957, at First Congregational Church of Christ in Fairmont. Their marriage was blessed with five children: Julie (Zender) Christensen of Mankato, David Frederickson of Mankato, Sandra Cook of St. Cloud, Susan Frederickson (deceased), Mary Frederickson of Clinton, Utah.

Nancy’s greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren and giving to them; she never wanted much for herself except happiness for her family. Nancy will be missed but we know she will lovingly be watching over us from above.

She is survived by four of her children, Julie, David, Sandra (Chris) and Mary; sisters, Jayne Heinrich of Appleton Wis., Nina Nawrocki (Urban) of Sherburn; brother, Robert Dickinson (Julie) of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Nathan Zender (Sadie), Jay Zender (Laura), Hannah Christensen (Tyler Fandrich), Dennis Jan Cook, Zackary Hovey Cook (Veronica), and Addie Frederickson; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Eleanor, Harper, Edison and Christopher.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Gordon Gratz; and brother and sister-in-law, Jim Dickinson and Mary Jean; and brothers, Harvey and Jack.
