LE SUEUR — Anthony J. Breske, 91, of Le Sueur, Minn., formerly of Waseca and Sherburn, Minn., died Sunday evening, Feb. 9, 2020, at Oak Terrace Senior Living in Le Sueur.

Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at St. Anne’s Church in Le Sueur, with Fr. George Grafsky officiating the service. Lunch to follow at St. Anne’s School. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the church. Interment will be at a later time in St. Otto’s Cemetery, Webster, S.D.

Anthony was born May 3, 1928, in Webster, S.D., to Felix and Clara (Pionk) Breske. He grew up in the Webster, S.D., area and joined the U.S. Army Air Corps at the young age of 17.

Following his military service, he married Daisy West in Keene, New Hampshire.

He began a long career with Chicago Northwestern Railroad. After the death of his wife Daisy, he later married Darlene Wells in South Dakota. They later divorced.

He met Jeanette Holida and they became long-time partners and companions.

His job moved him to many towns including Watertown, S.D., Mankato, Minn., and Waseca, Minn.

After Tony retired, he moved to Sherburn, Minn. He attended St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn for many years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and A.A. for over 40 years, where he helped countless people.

He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Mark) Tellijohn of Le Sueur, Minn., Mick (Debbie) Breske of Arber Vitae, Wis., Dennis Day of Waseca, Minn., Deb (Karl) Olson of Sherburn, Minn., Pam (Chris) Jacobson of Watertown, S.D., Todd Breske of Rockvale, Tenn., and Tina (Phil) Buzzard of Waseca; 24 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Phyllis Norris (Bob) of Colorado, Georgene (Cecil) Hellyer of Loveland, Colo.; and sister-in-law, Delores Breske.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Daisy; son, Dave; grandson, Brett Miller; siblings, Grace Burns, Ann Dylla, Marie Dylla, Rita Day, Loy Breske, Alvin Breske and David Breske.
