TRIMONT — A Celebration of Life service for Joanne M. Olson, 88, of Trimont will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at First Lutheran Church in Trimont. Burial will be held at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery, rural Trimont, Minn.

Joanne was called to her eternal rest Saturday evening, Jan. 11, 2020, at Season’s Health Care Center in Trimont, Minn. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont.

Joanne Marcella Burk-hardt was born Jan. 28, 1931, on the farm in Cedar Township, Martin County, Minn., to John and Anna (Brandt) Burkhardt. She attended rural country school and later was a 1948 graduate of Triumph-Monterey High School.

On Sept. 16, 1951, she was united in marriage to Kenneth C. Olson at Triumph, Minn. After their marriage, they farmed in Kimball Township, Jackson County. Kenneth died May 8, 1985. She continued living on the farm until moving into Trimont.

Over the years, as a member of First Lutheran Church and many community organizations, she held various titles and positions.

She is survived by her four children, daughter, Nikki Indergaard (John) of Trimont, Minn., son, Rick Olson (Cindy) of Trimont, son, Barry Olson of Sherburn, Minn., and daughter, Laurie Meyer (Cevyn) of Florence, S.C.; six grandchildren, Nathan Indergaard, Alyson Soderberg (Mickey), Patrick Meyer (Brooke), Mitchell Olson (Brittany), Morgan Olson, Cameron Meyer (Kinsley); six great-grandchildren; sister, Patty Hapke (Dick) of Bruno, Minn.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Burkhardt; husband, Kenneth C. Olson; son, Gregory Olson; brother, Warren “Buddy” Burkhardt; sisters, Kathleen McIntosh and Ardella Schroeder; and other relatives.
