BLUE EARTH — A funeral service for Dannie Nelson, 82, of Blue Earth will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at United Lutheran Church in Frost. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth.

Nelson died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church in Frost.

Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth is in charge of arrangements.

Dannie Lee Nelson was born Feb. 18, 1937, in Estherville, Iowa, to Theodore and Dorothy (Scott) Nelson. He served in the U.S. Navy as an electrician on aircraft carriers.

Survivors include: his wife, Audrey, of Blue Earth; son, Greg Nelson of Frost; daughter, Pam Anderson of Bricelyn; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorie Oswald of Mount Ida, Ark., and Gayle Meehan of Riverside, Calif.
