BLUE EARTH — Sandra Shure, age 82, formerly of Frost, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at Colonial Manor in Lakefield, Minn.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at United Lutheran Church in Frost, with Rev. Arne Halbakken officiating. Burial will be in United Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today, Oct. 23, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

She was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Bricelyn, Minn., to Cleon and Sarah Larson. She graduated from Frost High School. Sandra worked in Fairmont, Minn., as a telephone operator right out of school. She met Ronald Shure at a dance and never looked back, as they were married Feb. 2, 1957.

Sandra and Ronnie moved to Frost, Minn., where they raised their family: daughters, Vicky Nelson and Susie Bartels; and son, Mike Shure.

Sandra worked at Telex Communications for 32 years before retiring in Blue Earth, Minn. She then decided to work part-time at Express Diagnostics and Arend’s Sale Barn.

A devoted member of United Lutheran Church in Frost, Sandra enjoyed her faith and her friends at church, both of which brought her much comfort throughout her 82 years of life. She was active in attending ladies circle, quilting, and various church groups.

Sandra always loved to see her six grandchildren and her 13 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Vicky and Tim Nelson of rural Blue Earth, Susie and Terry Bartels of Spirit Lake, Iowa; son, Michael and Holly Shure of Arlington, Minn.; sister, Delores and Lloyd Kraushaar of Albert Lea, Minn.; and other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Shure; parents, Cleon and Sarah Larson; brothers, Wayne, Curtis, and Neil Larson; and in-laws, Martin and Winnie Shure.
