Emmalyne Carol Spitzer was born March 3, 2019, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn., to Thomas and Laura (Petrowiak) Spitzer. She was given a 10 percent chance in the first trimester and a 1 percent chance of surviving after being born due to fetal hydrops. Emmalyne was diagnosed as having Noonans Syndrome. She was a fighter from the start and kept that fight until the end.

Emmalyne loved girl talk and was always willing to give a big grin to any visitor. She loved all music but seemed to have a love for the song “Best of My Love” by the Eagles.

Emmalyne’s siblings loved their little sister. Carter would read her books, Kennedy was always helping her in any way she could, and Cecilia loved anything to do with her, especially making her pretty.

Emmalyne was a strong, resilient little girl whose life touched many in her short time on earth. She had a peaceful aura and had a lot of love to give.

She is survived by her loving parents, Thomas and Laura Spitzer; siblings, Carter, Kennedy and Cecilia Spitzer; grandparents, Bernie and Julie Petrowiak, Jamie and Joan Morley, and Roger Spitzer and Lori Schweiger; great-grandma’s, Joan Closs and Lois Olson; godparents, Keith and Carol Wille; many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and uncles and other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Louis and Lucille Petrowiak, Bill Closs, Burdette Spitzer, and Leo and Louise Voit; and other family members that Emmalyne will join in heaven.

We thank you God for letting us have her, even though shorter than we hoped, but longer then we could have ever dreamed.
