Robbin J. Heller

SHERBURN — A Celebration of Life service for Robbin J. Heller, 61, of Sherburn, Minn., will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn, with Rev. Steven D. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Odin, Minn.

Robbin was called to her eternal rest Thursday afternoon, Oct. 17, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Hospital -Saint Marys Campus in Rochester, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Robbin Jean Dougherty was born Nov. 2, 1957, in St. James, Minn., to Robert and Myrtle (Nelson) Dougherty. She grew up in Butterfield and at an early age she moved with family to Gilbert, Minn, and graduated in 1976 from Gilbert High School. Robbin then attended nursing school in Springfield, Minn. On Oct. 8, 1977, she was united in marriage to Scott Heller at Grace Lutheran Church, Ormsby, Minn. After their marriage they made their home in Ormsby, where Robbin did daycare and was employed at Sperry-Univac in Jackson. She then was employed at Weston’s and Swift Eckrich both in St. James. She moved with her family to Sherburn, where she was employed at Weigh-Tronix in Fairmont. Robbin then started her own catering business and catered various events for families. Robbin handmade and rolled Lefse for 40 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was active in various groups. Robbin enjoyed quilting and being with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Scott Heller of Sherburn, Minn.; her three children: sons, Matt (Jessa) Heller of Eagan, Minn., Mike (Megan) Heller of Sherburn, daughter, Megan and friend, Ethan Duncan of Jackson, Minn.; four grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, Jack and Leo; sisters, Sandie (Lynn) Clausen of Indianapolis, Ind., Tammy Kuehl of Sherburn; brothers-in-law, DeLyle Pankratz of Eveleth, Minn., Gerry Heller of rural St. James, Minn., Luane (Karen) Heller of rural Butterfield, Minn.; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Robbin was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Myrtle Dougherty; infant brother, Robert Eugene Dougherty; sister, Merlys Pankratz; sister-in-law, Rhonda Heller; brother-in-law, Larry Kuehl; niece, McKenzie Mary Kuehl; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Lois Heller; and other relatives.
