ROGERS — A visitation for Robert “Bob” Orville Blint, age 71, of Rogers, Minn., will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at The Peterson Chapel, 300 Main St. North, in St. Michael, Minn., with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service Thursday at the church in Fairmont.

Bob passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minn. The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, Minn., phone (763) 497-5362, www.thepetersonchapel.com, and Lakeview Funeral Home of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert “Bob” O. Blint was born Jan. 16, 1948, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Orville and Lois (Weiske) Blint. Bob graduated from Fairmont High School with the class of 1966. He furthered his education at Mankato State College, receiving a bachelor of science degree in business in 1972, and an accounting degree in 1992.

He began his working career as a sales representative selling computers and made his way into accounting. He was employed for 12 years at Fingerhut Corporation in Minnetonka, before retiring in 2013. He worked for eight years at Archway Marketing in Rogers.

On July 17, 1976, Robert Orville Blint and Carolyn Louise Anderson were united in marriage in Mankato. The two were blessed with a daughter, Jill.

Bob enjoyed sports, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. He also loved country music and Western movies; his favorite actor was John Wayne. An avid reader of Western American history, he enjoyed traveling to South Dakota to see the buffalo roundups and explore Deadwood.

Whenever the family got together, he always liked playing cards and sharing stories.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Blint; brother, Richard Blint; and beloved family pet rabbit, Dutchess Marie.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Blint, and their daughter, Jill Blint; mother, Lois Blint; sister-in-law, Barbara Blint; and many extended family and friends.
